On June 1, 2010 our two year old, "Little Air Bear," was diagnosed with Childhood Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) Type M7. After enduring 146 days at Primary Children's Hospital, Erin is now in remission and living a full life at home with our family. Her strong will and constant happy smile is an inspiration to us all. Through our difficult circumstances we found great strength and peace in our Savior, Jesus Christ. Thank you for checking in on us.

Balloons & Flowers

Thank you for your kind remarks, phone calls, and gifts.

Just a note: In Erin's unit they don't allow latex balloons or fresh flowers (they didn't say anything about old flowers).

  1. John and Jill,
Our support is with you. I'm so glad you have family so close to help, and I know they're all going to be very supportive, things like this draw a family together even closer than before. Keep in mind also that the ward is eager and waiting to help any way we can. There is nothing too big or too small, and there is no such thing as a bad time. I know for myself I'm not above cleaning toilets or taking the goldfish for a walk... Anything at all, day or night, Dennis and I are ready to help, just call and we'll be there just as quick as we can. I know everyone else I have talked to feels the same way. God bless you and all your family, we have you in our prayers and fasts. You take care of that little girl and she'll take care of you. She's a happy thing and all of us are aching with you. Keep on your rock and all will be well.

  2. I wish that I could think of the perfect thing to say, and in the perfect way... I feel stunned, not fully able to comprehend what you must be going through. Mother Teresa said something that has gotten me through a lot. "I know that the Lord will not give me anything I can't handle, I just wish he didn't trust me so much." So as a testimant to you both and your faith, I stand in awe of your strength and courage, but mostly your testimonies. I guess we can all ask why on a daily basis, thank you for reminding me of the love that our Savior has for us, and I will humbly re-enter my life again with more gratitude for my wee trials. My prayers are with you, I will ask the Lord to send some of my strength your way... Jana
