On June 1, 2010 our two year old, "Little Air Bear," was diagnosed with Childhood Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) Type M7. After enduring 146 days at Primary Children's Hospital, Erin is now in remission and living a full life at home with our family. Her strong will and constant happy smile is an inspiration to us all. Through our difficult circumstances we found great strength and peace in our Savior, Jesus Christ. Thank you for checking in on us.

Bone Marrow Results

We got Erin's Bone Marrow Aspirate results today.  She has no sign of Leukemia cells in her bone marrow.  This means that she is still in remission.

  1. :) i'm thrilled for this news jill. it was great to get to meet erin in the rain. i didn't realize how little she is until saturday night! she really is a wee one, tough, but tiny. i remember when i was 11 i had a shirt in latin that said "parva sed potens" -> small but powerful. i think erin is as well.

  2. hooray! wonderful news!!!

i was wondering the other day how that all worked with AML. how often will they check to see if she is still in remission. it'll be SUCH a relief to be done with treatment soon, but do you get nervous, like "ok, is that REALLY it?". you know what i mean?

  3. I do get nervous! We will see an Oncologist for the next 16 years. The first year she'll go in every month. The next year every other month and so on.
